About the Project
Momentum empowers first and second-year law students across New Zealand to achieve academic excellence. We built a comprehensive digital platform featuring an online student portal, consultation booking engine, tutor-student matching system, and a content-rich marketing site — enabling Momentum to scale personalized tutoring programs across Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin with an 80% A- or higher achievement rate.
The Challenge
Momentum Tutoring was running a high-quality law tutoring programme across New Zealand's top universities — but doing it with email chains, manual scheduling, and spreadsheets. As demand grew across Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin, the admin burden was consuming the founder's time instead of going to student outcomes. They needed a platform that could handle enrollment, tutor matching, booking, and tracking without hiring a full admin team.
How We Delivered
Discovery & Requirements
Spent time embedded with the Momentum team to understand the full student journey — from inquiry to session completion to grade outcome tracking.
Portal Architecture
Built a multi-role portal (student, tutor, admin) with enrollment caps per university, session recording access, and a content library for mock assessments.
Booking System
Delivered automated scheduling with tutor-student matching based on university, year, and learning goals — eliminating manual back-and-forth.
Analytics & Scale
Launched grade outcome tracking, tutor performance dashboards, and internship placement tracking — giving Momentum data to prove and improve results.
