Shopify Migration Services Dubai — Data and SEO Mapped

Move WooCommerce, Drupal Commerce, Magento, or a custom store to Shopify through data reconciliation, URL and SEO mapping, payment testing, UAE integrations, and a controlled cutover plan.

Data ReconciliationControlled CutoverSEO Mapping

How can a UAE store migrate to Shopify while protecting its data and search visibility?

Atlio maps products, customers, orders, content and integrations before migrating a store to Shopify. We reconcile imports, review unsupported features, map valuable URLs and redirects, and test payments, fulfilment and tracking before cutover. These controls manage migration risk; data constraints must be documented and unchanged search rankings cannot be guaranteed.

What We Handle During Migration

From data transfer to post-launch optimization

Agree data coverage, search-risk controls, storefront changes, integration feasibility and post-launch support before approving a migration.

Common Challenges

Is your self-hosted store holding you back?

Your self-hosted store is costing more than it earns

Hosting fees, security patches, plugin updates, developer retainers, and server maintenance are eating into margins. You're spending more on keeping the platform running than on growing sales.

Mobile experience is driving customers away

Your WooCommerce or Drupal store wasn't built mobile-first. Slow load times, clunky checkout, and missing mobile payment options like Apple Pay and Shop Pay are costing you conversions every day.

Every update feels like a risk

PHP updates break plugins. WordPress core updates conflict with WooCommerce. Drupal module upgrades require developer intervention. You're afraid to touch anything because something always breaks.

Security vulnerabilities keep you up at night

Self-hosted platforms are constant targets. You're responsible for PCI compliance, SSL certificates, firewall configuration, and patching vulnerabilities before they're exploited.

You are not alone. We help UAE businesses solve these exact challenges every day.

Shopify migration delivery note

Reviewed August 2026

Protect customer access, operational continuity, and search history together

A commerce migration is a controlled data and URL transition, not a catalogue import. Products, variants, customers, orders, discounts, content, integrations, tracking, domains, and fulfilment workflows need separate validation before traffic moves.

  • Data reconciliation:Count and sample every entity, preserve identifiers where useful, and document records that cannot move.
  • SEO continuity:Map valuable URLs, metadata, canonicals, structured data, internal links, and redirects before launch.
  • Cutover control:Freeze changing data briefly, rehearse imports, test transactions, monitor errors, and retain a rollback route.

Delivery guidance from the Atlio team in Dubai. Scope is confirmed against your systems, users, and constraints.

Example acceptance documents

Accept the migrated store against a reconciliation sheet

A data copy is not enough to approve a store migration. These illustrative mapping and cutover documents show what to review with the business owner; no client totals, migration result or guaranteed ranking outcome is implied.

  1. Supported-data and exception matrix

    Document to review
For products, variants, media, customers, historical orders, content and custom features, record the source, destination, import method and owner. Mark each field as supported, transformed, rebuilt, archived or excluded before importing.
    Acceptance check
Prove the selected method with a small permitted sample. Customer CSV imports do not transfer passwords or order history; historical orders require a suitable app or API route. Reviews, loyalty data, subscriptions, custom pricing and gateway access need separate feasibility checks and an approved exception plan.
  2. Reconciliation and URL worksheet

    Document to review
Record source totals, imported totals, duplicate/rejected rows and approved exclusions by data type. Compare SKUs, variants, prices, stock and order totals in the agreed currencies. Map valuable old URLs to relevant destinations and retain metadata where applicable.
    Acceptance check
Account for discrepancies instead of reporting “nothing lost” from a count alone. Sample relationships and critical fields; review exceptions with the owner. Test old URL destinations, redirects, canonicals, internal links and visible schema. Search engines decide indexing and rankings.
  3. Order-path and cutover sign-off

    Document to review
Name the release owner, final data-delta time, any order freeze, payment/shipping checks, customer-account transition, monitoring window and rollback criteria. Confirm plan, app, gateway and regional constraints before committing.
    Acceptance check
Using agreed test modes, check checkout, failed payment, shipping, discounts, notifications and fulfilment handoff. Reconcile the final delta, inspect priority URLs after switching, and monitor transactions and errors. Approve any interruption and recovery limits in advance; do not promise a minute-long or zero-downtime cutover.

Import coverage, apps, gateway eligibility, support duration and rollback capabilities depend on the actual source store and Shopify plan. Confirm them in the proposal; cost savings and unchanged traffic are not guaranteed.

Why Businesses Migrate to Shopify

Platform-specific reasons to make the switch

Every platform has its pain points. Here are the most common reasons UAE businesses migrate from WooCommerce, Drupal Commerce, and Magento to Shopify.

WooCommerce Stores

03 modules
  1. 01

    Plugin dependency issues

WooCommerce stores relying on 20+ plugins for basic functionality face compatibility conflicts, security vulnerabilities, and performance degradation. Shopify replaces plugin chaos with built-in features.

  2. 02

    Hosting & maintenance burden

Self-hosted WooCommerce requires PHP updates, database optimization, SSL management, and server scaling. Shopify handles all infrastructure so you focus on selling.

  3. 03

    Checkout conversion problems

A slow or confusing checkout can suppress conversion. We baseline the current funnel, then test Shopify checkout, payment, shipping, discount, and error states before comparing results.

Our Migration Process

From assessment to optimization in four phases

Use a staged migration plan with documented mapping, reconciliation, exception review and cutover acceptance. Agree each phase's checks before proceeding.

Sequence mapped / 04 phases

  1. Phase 01 / In progress

    Migration Assessment & Audit

We audit your current platform: catalog size, data structure, integrations, custom functionality, SEO footprint, and traffic patterns. You get a detailed migration plan with timeline and risk assessment.

  2. Phase 02 / Queued

    Data Mapping & Extraction

Create a source-to-destination matrix for the agreed data. Confirm supported import methods and document transformations, archives and unsupported fields before transferring records.

  3. Phase 03 / Queued

    Shopify Build & Import

Your new Shopify store is built in parallel: theme customization, payment integration, app setup, and data import. We run test orders and validate every integration on staging before going live.

  4. Phase 04 / Queued

    Launch & Optimize

Reconcile the final delta, release through the agreed cutover and check priority URLs, checkout and handoffs. Monitor errors and search signals for the contracted support window.
