About the project

Alpine Logistics runs freight and courier routes across the lower South Island out of Queenstown. Their drivers live on their phones, not in front of a computer, and radio-and-paper dispatch was slowing everything down. We built a Telegram operations bot that assigns jobs to drivers, collects one-tap acknowledgements, captures photo proof-of-delivery, and feeds a live control-room dashboard — with approvals and end-of-day reports flowing to managers in the same app they already use. No new app to install, no training day required.

The challenge

Alpine's dispatch ran on phone calls, a whiteboard, and paper run sheets. Drivers across Queenstown, Wanaka, and Cromwell missed job changes, proof-of-delivery photos lived on personal phones, and managers had no live view of a run until the driver returned. A full telematics platform was expensive and would have meant forcing an unfamiliar app onto a seasonal, high-turnover driver pool. They needed something drivers would actually use on day one.
